Barre is an exercise technique of low impact, ballet inspired movements designed to lift, tone, and tighten targeted areas of the body. As one develops in our specialized sequence, there’s also an added benefit of mental focus and calm that grows during each isometric exercise. The shake that is experienced during class means that your muscles are reaching the point of fatigue. As odd as that may sound, this is a good thing! Each targeted muscle group is followed by a deep, long stretch while your muscles are still warm and pliable. This leads to long, lean muscles. See you at the barre!
